Das Seminar vermittelt praxisnahes Wissen über die Besonderheiten des US-amerikanischen Vertragsrechts, das für österreichische Unternehmen im internationalen Handel zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnt. Thematisiert werden zentrale Unterschiede zwischen dem Common Law System der USA und dem kontinentaleuropäischen Zivilrecht, insbesondere in Bezug auf Vertragsgestaltung, Haftungsausschlüsse, AGB, Eigentumsvorbehalt und gerichtliche Durchsetzung. Anhand von Fallbeispielen und typischen Vertragssituationen lernen Teilnehmer:innen, wie sie sich bei Vertragsverhandlungen mit US-amerikanischen Geschäftspartnern rechtlich absichern und häufige Fehler vermeiden.
