Die EU-Entwaldungsverordnung (EUDR) bringt neue Anforderungen an die Lieferketten zahlreicher Rohstoffe und Erzeugnisse – darunter Holz, Kaffee, Soja, Kautschuk, Palmöl, Rindfleisch und Kakao. Unternehmen müssen sicherstellen, dass die betroffenen Produkte entwaldungsfrei und rechtskonform erzeugt wurden und die erforderlichen Nachweise vorliegen.
Die Herausforderung: notwendige Informationen entlang der gesamten Lieferkette beschaffen, prüfen und dokumentieren. Fehlende Nachweise oder Verstöße können zu empfindlichen Sanktionen, hohen Bußgeldern und weiteren rechtlichen Konsequenzen führen.
